Quiet Light

I forget the name of the American photographer who coined the phrase 'Quiet Light' meaning the quality of light on overcast or misty days or in shady areas.

Early this morning with a light mist and high cloud at Wootton Creek the term certainly applied giving the woodlands a peaceful ambience.

I love this type of light feeling it is an antidote to the over saturated landscape images which seem to dominate most photography magazines and many web sites, not blipfoto I hasten to add.
