Congratulations!

To Trentham Gardens for winning Garden of the Year in the Countryfile Magazine Awards. It's lovely to have your local spot win something, especially as Stoke-on-Trent is isn't the most prosperous part of the world. 

The gardens attract lots of people from all over the country and even the world. And 10 years ago it was in desperate need of renovation, as it had been left to decline.

This is a scene across the Italian Gardens just after the gardeners have cut everything back ready for the new season. Over the next few weeks it will completely transform and look wonderful.
