Star Ferry

It would appear to rain in Hong Kong occasionally and sometimes it rains all day long!  Today was one of those days.

So the plans for the day had to be revised and the changed itinery included visiting shopping malls, help ma boab!

We crossed over from Kowloon which is on mainland China to Hong Kong Island.  We sailed on one of the fleet of Star Ferries.  The Star Fery is an icon in HK.  The ferries have been sailing to and fro for over 100 years and all of them have star in their name.  The image is of the Shining Star, I was sailing on the Twinkling Star and amongst the other names are the Northern Star, Morning Star and Night Star.
