Afternoon Tea

Part of mum's Christmas pressie was afternoon tea at Cromlix House Hotel (Andy Murray's place near Dunblane). Very nice. Had a walk round the grounds afterwards down to the tennis courts and saw the marquee getting pegged out for the wedding next week, probably for the dancing as I doesn't think there is a ballroom in the hotel.

Nice drive back To Perth by the back roads and a quick change as off to Inchyra (a converted byre in a country estate) to see one of my favourite artists Gretchen Peters perform. Only 300 people and we got good seats three rows back. There was an annoying woman in front to the right who the minute Gretchen came on and sung her first song, took out her I pad took her picture then proceeded to put it on Facebook. The screen glaring bright in the subdued light she then was checking for updates constantly, then put it in her bag, clomping up the aisle moments later while Gretchen was in the middle of a song. Ignorant ! When it was the interval a few of us that could see it had a discussion and when she came back the man in front of me leaned over and told her not to take it out again. Good on ye mate!

It was a fabulous concert. Second time seen Gretchen who likes small intimate venues and has just been inaugurated into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. She wrote one of my top ten favourite songs of all time Bus to St Cloud. Such a talent.
