Paschal candle

I didn't really get a very good photo of the Paschal Candle last week - there was too much going on for much photography in church on Easter day. But contrary to general trends, we don't stop celebrating the high moments of the Christian calendar the moment they're past - partly because, again unlike the general populace, we haven't been anticipating them for months already. The season of Easter goes on until the feast of Pentecost, a full fifty days after Easter Sunday, so here, in all its lovely springtime flowers, is the candle - the candle that was lit in the dark of Holy Saturday night and left burning all night.
