First night

Back blipping on Monday.

We arrived safely in Chiang Mai this morning.  Slight glitch, as our guide was waiting for us at "International arrivals" whereas we came through "Domestic arrivals" because we had collected our luggage and gone through Customs in Bangkok.

But all was sorted, and we were duly delivered to our hotel.  We had thought we might go out in the afternoon, but we were pretty tired, having had little sleep, so we rested in our room, slept a little, then down for a meal in the hotel dinning room (sic) before an early night.  This is meant to be a holiday, after all, no point in stressing out if we don't see everything there is to see.
