Sebastopol

I visited a friend - Carol - in a nearby village-Ellerker- and decided to stop at this interesting wall. The story told is that it is built with stone, which came back to Hull as ballast on a ship from Sebastopol on the Crimean Peninsula during the Crimean War(1853-56)- a war between Britain and Russia. 1857AD can be seen carved into the stone, and the cottage is called Sebastopol.
