Been Fishing

Been Fishing....with silver bait

The local fish shop had a supply of fresh fish from the South of Western Australia.

They say you can tell how fresh a fish is by its eyes. These looked pretty good to me.

I am sure they will be nice tonight with a chilled white wine from our Margaret River region

Nannygai are a reef fish found in about 60m of water. They congregate in large schools near offshore reefs.  When cooked the taste is delicate to mild to slightly sweet.

Fresh Nanngai sells for $20 aud per kilo.
