Droning on and on. . . .

. . . . .at Hat Hill.

Just listed a block of land right next to the National Park and the closest neighbour to Hat Hill.  Just hanging up above the Grose Valley and with half of it's gorgeous 35 acres as pristine hanging swamp, this was going to be impossible to photograph to show off it's full potential.

So in came Scott Goodkin with his sidekick drone!  As luck would have it, when we met up at the border of the national park, a grader was there, unattended.  Needing to keep the drone in eye contact, the grader was perfect as a viewing platform, so Scott and his assistant, our Bob, launched themselves up to the roof of the grader.  Scott took a mixture of stills and video - can't wait to see it.

In the meantime, the two National Park workers who were looking after the grader turned up to fix the water pipe that had ruptured and were quite happy for us to continue on their roof as they went about fixing the grader.  It was a first for them, not surprisingly.  Thanks guys!

I predict that we'll see a bit more of this drone!
