Hiding....beware!

This may not be to everyone's liking but I love it!

I'd already posted a shot of wood anenomies earlier today, and was settling down to some reading in the garden, when I felt like a spot of macro photography.

The celandines are still flowering well so I was trying various angles when this beauty popped up in the lens. It did make me jump at first but soon became the focus of my photos after that.

BTW my reading material wasn't very exciting - car magazines! My 9 year old Clio has now been declared an insurance write off, so I'm looking for a replacement. I wasn't quite ready to change my car, and so I'm not all that enthusiastic, but this earwig provided too much of an easy distraction!
