all's well that ends well

The story in my favourite local road sign has a happy ending. The auto-mobile slides and veers in crazy physics- defying ways, but the clever driver has pulled through, and is last seen, probably from behind, safely stopped or motoring away perfectly upright.
No modern sign would portray such an optimistic outcome. The car shape would be tilted warningly; half way through to a calamitous outcome.
I'm hoping the Council has completely forgotten about this one.
