It's Grim Up North

Hurray

This was our more than cheerful waitress in the cafe of the newly extended and reopened Whitworth Gallery, in my home city of Manchester.

Much excitement, hadn't been into the city centre for twenty years and hadn't been on a train for fifteen (I've been busy), but that changed today.

Favourite exhibitions were Cornelia Parker's Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View and Cai Guo-Qiang's gunpowder paintings Unmanned Nature shot one and shot two. Will be going back again soon, I hope.
