Floral tribute

I don't know what these flowers and jewels are in aid of but they made quite a splash in the middle of the pavement. I hope it's not another horrible commemoration of a death which we see all too often sadly. Ghost bikes and bunches of dying flowers tied to railings are such a sad sight.
