The Last Hurrah

We were out playing badminton on the lawn early before the wind came up....two shuttlecocks on the roof!!
As we recovered we held a meeting of the grandparents and the grandchildren! There were some options to discuss.
Do we leave home mid morning for Christchurch and either go to Orana Wildlife Sanctuary  or Willowbank Wilderness Centre....
.......or stay at home and play then head up later to the airport.

Surprisingly both, without any hesitation opted to stay home and play then they suggested going back to our local children's playground at Caroline Bay.  I made a picnic lunch which we enjoyed down the bay, finishing off with an ice cream from Mr Whippy before heading north around 2 pm stopping at Ashburton for another blow out, they also have a wonderful playground in their Botanical Gardens.

Soon they will be winging their way back to Wellington.  Janelle (their mum) is flying down arriving just in time to gather them up and get a flight back Wellington.

We are enjoying a meal while waiting for Mum.  Also gives me an opportunity of getting my Blip in then the two hour drive back to Timaru.

A great few days.
