A Princess Pouts

Today is Queen Margrethe II's 75th birthday.  Living just 12 minutes by bike from the palace, I thought I'd pop down and have a look see. It's clear she is very popular by the 1000's here and then the many many more lining the ensuing procession route. She comes across as a very caring and considerate person as well as being quite an accomplished artist.

Interesting fact: - If you have The Lord Of The Rings, the illustrations might be by an Ingahild Grathmer, that's the pseudonym the queen uses on her artwork.
