The Academy Street fire

Walked into town, as you do, and there's a building on fire! Seemingly it started last night, but was still burning early this afternoon. I was on my way to work, but four hours later the road was still cordoned off, and a fire fighter was still scooshing it.
 
I  wish I'd thought more about blips. I could have brought you the fire hoses snaking their way down to the river; I could have shown you a fire engine raised right off the ground by its stabilisers. Instead I just gawped like the other onlookers.
