We then went on the express elevator to the 23rd floor (my ears popped) and had afternoon tea with spectacular views across greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire.
Something very unsettling about standing on a window built into the floor where you can look straight down to the road below, where the cars look like little toys.  
Lovely afternoon with my girls from work.  Has helped me to make some resolutions too.
