Analogue

Look at this beast! This is a proper old analogue synthesizer. Not one of the first by a long way, but definitely a classic.
It's been gathering dust in my office for years, but a couple of days ago I got the little beauty out for a bit of fun. Needs a little bit of a cleanup, but still works wonderfully.

Modern instruments/keyboards are desperately chasing the sound of these old timers, and they do a grand job with digital emulations of old circuits and filters, but man alive, when you turn this thing up, there's a magic and sparkle and warmth that's near impossible to catch with digital.
Photography has had a similar journey, so I've stuck this blip through a few dozen analogue style filters just to prove a point.

Right, I'm off to put on some Kraftwerk before bedtime.
