Nimes Arena

A grey sky and rain for our last day in France. We made a brief visit to Nimes to see the arena. Of course, we climbed to the top ... have you detected a theme during our holiday? It wasn't the easiest of places to walk around, constantly up and down and the stone terraces were huge. At one point we thought Mum was stuck, as the steps were too big up and down but it was a long way back round with even more steps! We made it back down safely though, phew! 

We walked to Maison Carree just to view it from the outside, then it was time to head for the airport. 

A late afternoon flight back to Luton and then a long drive home made it a very long day and late night.
