Life though my lens

Snow in the Desert

We headed out to a different section of the book cliffs this morning to look at more shallow marine stratigraphy, though almost as soon as we arrived it started snowing. Quite quickly the light snowfall turned into a near full on blizzard, with snow falling thick and heavy. Due to the concern about the mud track we ended the day early and headed to the John Wesley Powell River History Museum. We had a short lecture and a browse around the museum which was dedicated to the first explorers of the Green River and Colorado River. For dinner we headed to a real american diner for Navajo Tacos - which were made with traditional native indian bread.
