Household archaeology.......

......and a feeling of slight regret over the Sad Demise of the Use of Random Capital Letters in Official Notices......oh, and Post Cards as a means of normal correspondence and mercifully short phone numbers;-) 
(Information notice found stuck to the wall behind the electricity meter.....never noticed it before because the meter's in a dark cupboard)

The meter upgrade saga is still on-going, by the time the Rapid Response guy had been, scratched his head, sucked his teeth a bit and then cut out some ancient vulcanised india rubber coated cables (he's left some of them for me as a keepsake, and possible framing....he reckoned they dated from the 20's when the house was probably first connected to the grid, but why they'd been connected to the main fuse box at a later date was anybodies guess) it was getting a bit late to get the smart meter guy back so I rescheduled for a couple of weeks time.....to be honest at that point I just needed to open a bottle of wine and collapse in a heap.

PS.....took this using flash, it's so long since I used it I'd forgotten how to turn it on......
