The Ship Hotel - Parkgate

An excellent lunch today at The Ship Hotel situated on the Parkgate Parade on the Wirral peninsula. Fish and Chips with a pint of Trappers Hat from the local Brimstage brewery.

In the 1700's Parkgate was a thriving port, then it became a popular Victorian holiday resort.  One particular regular visitor being Lord Nelson, whose mistress Lady Hamilton lived nearby in Ness.
