The Belly Of An Architect, Hanover Square, London

The title of this film came to mind when I saw this man as he seemed to be squeezed between the architectural pillars of this building. In reality, of course, it's just an optical illusion (not sure if he was an architect either!). It also made me think about the recent public debate that's been going on about body language and size and people's perceptions and views of others, and themselves. He certainly was trying to look cool in his shades while chatting away on the phone. Funnily enough, only a few steps from where he was standing is Vogue House which is where the publishers of the many fashion magazines reside - and there is a big debate about size and appearance in the fashion press as well, and even how air brushing and Photoshop can distort the way young women view themselves and the models they see on the front covers. Sorry got a bit serious there - I just thought he looked like a bit of a character and just happened to capture him at the moment between the two pillars.
