Bend in the river

There is nothing quite like the first Spring in a recently purchased house.  watching the shrubs and flowers planted by the previous owners starting to change with buds appearing to break into flower almost overnight.
The river at the bottom of the garden is no longer barren and the hawthorn tree is now in full bloom.  
  I have to say, that I wake up every morning with a song in my heart!!
