Pai Green Earth festival

Hungover is an understatement. We struggled with everything and even needed a little nap after lunch. The heat continued to be excruciating but we finally got our act together and headed to Pai Green Earth, a local hippie music festival next to a picturesque lake. We'd been seeing posters for the festival for ages, both in Pai and Chiang Mai but we had absolutely no idea what to expect. It was surprisingly big and a lot of effort had gone in to it.

We sat around for a while and then left to get some cheap alcohol and some coffee to hopefully kick us back in to action. When we returned there was a great Ska band on and the festival had got much busier. In between bands there were fire shows and various activities were dotted around the fields. Jess and I made some leather jewellery at a workshop and generally took it slowly.

Unfortunately the music got less and less lively, descending in to dad-rock, which is difficult to dance to when you're not drunk. We did our best and finally called it a night at 2am. It was a great festival despite the hangover from hell.
