Modified petals

I am all ready to give my presentation on the evolutionary development of flowers tomorrow. Well, fairly ready.... Learning about the different flower organs and how they are formed has given me a new interest in flower formation and all the different changes that we (or nature) can produce. This daffodil has no sepals, stamens or carpels, but instead a huge range of petals (including the classic trumpet of a daffodil but broken up into smaller orange petals). I found it in my garden today and got far too excited about it...
