The Power of Nature

Power to the Bluebell...after my million bluebell blip here is a persistent little beggar who has forced its fragile bloom through tarmac in a blistering comment on the futility of man, who misguidedly thinks he is in control. Here, all his efforts to cover the good earth with concrete and brick have been foiled...by a bluebell!

'What would the world be, once bereft
of wet and wildness, let them be left.
Oh let them be left, wildness and wet.
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet.

Gerard Manley Hopkins (Inversnaid)
