Necessary when browsing

The TV-remote.
This might not be the latest thing in a modern household, but I'm still amazed by the possibilities involved in this little piece of technology.
The modern way of watching TV and getting access to all kinds of visual material is awesome...
...but then again, I grew up with an old B&W television set in our living room, only one channel (The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service – Ríkisútvarpið, or RÚV for short) which did not broadcast on Thursdays and not during the whole month of July!
