Victim of Serpent's tail rapid

Day 5 of our kayak course at Plas y Brenin we decided to go back to the river Dee at Llangollen to play in the rapids. We declined to do the grade 4 upper stretch of this rapid but got in half way. I went first and pulled out in the eddy at the exit to take photos.

Sadly , although amusingly, I was met with a succession of upturned boats being spat out as the rest of the group came through :-). Here's Torin enjoying the chilly water!
