Doll's house

Fab day out with granny and grandad at Ickworth - he really liked the dolls house in the west wing, but also had great fun running round the italianate gardens - we managed to restrain his vandalism to one daffodil - I was especially relieved to stop him just before he grabbed one of the frittilaries. A nice lunch (but gosh National Trust cafes are expensive) and then some fun in the rather good playground. A nice mix of wooden climbing frames for various abilities, some more obstacle-course style things and some big stumps and fallen trees to clamber on - all in glorious sunshine.

A nice time playing when we got home too and we shared one pizza between all of us as tea for Matthew and a snack for the rest of us before we put him to bed and left granny and grandad to supervise while Mike and I went out for dinner. Yummy Chinese food - especially the fried dumplings and the salt and pepper ribs. Yum. We did contemplate dinner at Alimentum instead but a 9:30pm table would have been too late and we'd have dozed off by the main course :)
