Day 190 - Melaka

The Portugese invaded Melaka in 1511, ending the rule of the Sultanate. They were followed by the Dutch, and then the British, until Malaysia became independent in 1957. Many people also emigrated from China and India.  We visited this replica Portugese ship which houses a museum explaining the city's history.
