Marvellous Monday

Off for a walk with Russet before breakfast? Yes, and a beautiful morning it was to be sure, somehow all the more so as we climbed up the hill looking back at the beach and the sea.
A little bit of shopping from the village delicatessen, the paper shop, all just a few steps from where we are staying. Down to the beach for a coffee and a little wander, watching the cormorants on their nest high up on the cliff.
We bought a sea bass from the wet fish shop, and it was filleted, wrapped and put in the fridge for us to collect on our way back.
Later, we sat in comfortable deck chairs (with sun shades, of course) and I finished my bookclub book. The sun was warm, the sea lapped gently over the pebbles....
Is it really only April?
