Today I saw my first Swallow of the year flying around the house.. not yet summer but it's clearly getting closer!!  The hedgerows are full of blackthorn blossom and the birds are busy nestbuilding.  I have my eye on a couple that I have been watching being built a blackbird and a chaffinch.. and perhaps a great tit too but I havent clearly located that one yet !!
