Paula's portrait of a princess

So many gifts yesterday...
A safe and rainy, but uplifting Boston Marathon.

Successful completions by the two we were especially rooting for, Paula & Nicole, congrats!!

The chance to spend time with Mr. W, DDW, Paula & Tim Banks and their Blonde Bombshells, Soleil and Arwen.

AND, last, but not least, the amazing good fortune to be gifted a fine feline portrait. A drawing done so skillfully by Paula of our remarkable Abyssinian cat, Raspberry. She was most pleased and proud as punch, as you can see in the above photograph. We were touched beyond words.

inspiration?

A huge thank you is in order to blip, who brought all of us together, most probably aided by the two blonde beauties and their blip photos.

Friendship is really the gift that keeps on giving.

For the Record,
This day came in dark(we were up extra early, T had an important work meeting) after a night of lashing rain, wind and thunder.

I'm wishing for our old scanner today. When we upgraded to our new iMac, it was unfortunately rendered obsolete. I came across a box of my great grandfather's glass negative this past weekend. For now I'll crudely photograph them on a window ledge and invert the images in Photoshop, just to see rural Maine life in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Here's one shot in Machiasport, Maine proper, deep winter.

All hands healing, well, not T yet!!
