Colchester

I did 'the bounce' today but on this occasion it was down to Colchester, not Heathrow, and also I was accompanied by my colleague, Paul. Clever, affable, funny, chatty and knowledgeable, he was the ideal companion for the journey south to Euston, the tube to Liverpool Street and the train out to Colchester, which was followed by the walk from the station to our client's offices.

Despite being next to a road the whole way, it's rather a nice walk and, at one point, you cross this river. It was so slack today that it looked like a canal, and we stood there at the side of the busy road looking out across the countryside.

The meeting itself was an odd affair but I think we made something good of it before retracing our footsteps back to The North. This time, though, we treated ourselves to a bite to eat and a bottle of wine, and, actually, it was all rather nice.
