A girl has to have a hobby . . . !

The most fun I've had for a while - taking apart a short eared owl pellet to see what it had been eating!  Tiny voles, in case you wondered!

The bits that the owl's body can't digest get regurgitated as pellets, which are dry and don't smell  and are fascinating and quite exciting to examine . . . .  really!
