Emperor Moth

It was another lovely day, albeit more hazy and polluted than the last 3 days. We went up the Marilyns of Mynydd Troed and Mynydd Llangorse. I took a number of shots that had the dreaded sun spot problem and will have to invest soon as too many shots were spoilt. I saw this Emperor Moth on the second hill struggling in the wind. Luckily it stayed still and I got this blip. I would have liked to move the grass over the wings, but didn't dare try. It's a cracking looking moth and lives on moorland throughout the UK.
