Golden moment!

First day of Winter brrrrrrr! What a beautiful cloudless day we had today, but it was 12° Celsius all day.

We went to Muriwai Beach for two things (1. wait for the sunset; 2. see the gannet birds, only to find out that the gannets are gone to Australia to escape NZ's winter i guess. Our little man was fast asleep when we got there so i went to the look out by myself and left hubby in the car to watch our boy. I've waited for the sunset at the look out for about half an hour or so then the moment i have been waiting for has finally arrived....SUNSET! It was stunning.

When i got back in the car, our boy was still fast asleep. I told them the gannet birds weren't there at the moment. So we didn't wake our boy up as there were no birds to see anyway, he was excited to see the birds. He woke up on our way home.
