Lindis Pass......

.............South Island, New Zealand

This pass links the Mackenzie Basin with Central Otago.
The view is from near the summit looking back along the road we had just driven - we travelled from Lake Tekapo to Queenstown.

It is so hard deciding which photo to select for blip so I have decided that I will choose a scenic view to give you a glimpse of my special country.
You saw reflections in a mountain tarn yesterday, an alpine tussock landscape today, a lake and mountain view will be uploaded tomorrow and of course autumn colours will also feature as this part of the South Island is well known for an abundance of colour at this time of the year.

The white ‘stuff’ in the trees in yesterday’s blip is lichen – lots of it which looked quite ghostly before the sun reached these depths  and then rather magical when it did.

So many hearts, stars and comments have been given and I am appreciative. At the moment it is difficult being on Blip, but I send you all a very big thank you.
