Autumn.......

A cold breeze was stirring up the lake sending ripples in all directions as autumn leaves rustled. A slight lull gave us a peep at the reflections, golden and green mingling together while a lonely Australian Coot had a pool of blue all to himself. Slowly autumn is taking a grip.

Lovely day with my mum, walkingS - a little mall shopping, chatting over lunch, some photography at the Groynes and then our usual grocery shop. We stopped on the way home at the memorial at Kaiapoi where the gardeners were turning the soil and clipping away making the gardens tidy for ANZAC day this Saturday.

The day has seen a little bit of sun, some heavy grey clouds, a bitter wind with a real autumn feel.
