Sally Mair - Loving life

Summer in the city

I was in town today for an appointment and had time to spare so sat in St Andrew's Square in the morning sunshine. Simply beautiful. They've only just re-opened, the grass was destroyed during the winter festival and has been completely replaced, so they've been closed for almost 4 months which is a shame.
I noticed there's a shortage of seating around, people were lounging on the grass but not everyone wants to do that. There are some lovely marble walls to use which are at knee height but only one or two actual benches.
I wonder what happened to all the donated wooden benches which used to be around, they are more comfortable to sit in as they have backs to lean against.
