Wallace Monument, Snow on Mountains

This afternoon we went over to the Higgins Neuk Roundabout and parked up on the little back road to Airth. Walked up to the old bridge over the Pow Burn and saw(and heard) skylarks, meadow pipits and gulls but again no sign of that egret. Despite the last few days warm weather, there was still a fair bit of snow visible on Ben Ledi.
We have also noticed quite a few fields of oilseed rape which are well flowered already. (See MaggieD's blip ) The appearance of those brilliant yellow flowers used to be the trigger for my hay fever but fortunately I seem to have grow out of that allergy, thank goodness!
