Nord Fugloya

What a difference a day makes. After yesterday's snow the day dawned brilliant - it actually dawned at 2am. We drove out on the Lyngen Peninsula and from the end of the road walked north. We saw otter, sea eagle and dolphin and vista after vista of snowy mountains.

At one point I ventured onto untested snow and fell into ice water up to my knees much to the Principal's amusement. This view is of herself well ahead on the path and the magnificent island of Nord Fugloya like an iceberg of gneiss in the background.

We fly out tomorrow early.

Thank you for all the comments. Will reply on return. PS Principal says she saw Golden Eagle too. Here's a link to the otter
