Some assembly required

To the cinema for the opening night of Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's absolutely splendid, the direction, script, chemistry of the actors - all pitch perfect.

I'd love to tell you about my favourite bits, but sadly they're spoilertastic. But if you like superhero blockbusters with heart, just go.

And don't bother with the 3D.

Actually, in terms of what's known, I will shout out Elizabeth Olsen for the way she moves as the Scarlet Witch, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Pietro is a delight. And Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson are gifted some lovely scenes. James Spader as Ultron? I'd have given him some notes ...
