BUTTERFLY GARDEN

I had another opportunity to go to the Butterfly Garden at the Frederik Meijer Gardens again today.  There are more than 50 butterfly species from the world's tropical regions of Central & South America, Asia and Africa. Over the two month exhibition, approximately 800 chrysalides are delivered each week, totaling more than 7,000 butterflies.  As the butterflies escape their chrysalis, they are released into the enclosed 'tropical garden' at the Meijer Gardens.  (Unfortunately no sunshine today.)
