Consequences

A couple of months ago I blipped a picture of the village bank after it had been targeted by thieves. The disappearance of the ATM has meant that people are no longer stopping to get their cash, and so they are not buying their papers here either – as a consequence the paper shop will soon be closing down for good. And now a sign has now appeared outside the bank: “This branch of HSBC will not re-open and is now permanently closed for business”. A sad day for the village.
