There is a park near me that has many activities. A horse barn and corral. 
Periodically they have local horse shows for younger children,  many picnic areas, ponds for ducks,etc and a dog park. One day last week the dog park had an area roped off and they set up this string with brightly colored rags attached. They could make the rags go along this string, fast, slow, frontwards or backwards and the dogs would chase and try to catch the rags. It really gave the dogs a workout. This little guy's legs were short and he barely made it around the track
