A Fond Farewell

A lovely afternoon concert given by The Arnside Ladies Choir to mark the retirement of their Conductor.

The lady standing in pink had conducted the Choir for 25 years. As is often the case she originally agreed to take on the task for one year in 1990. Since then she has led them for 33 Friday afternoons each year plus regular concerts.

It is amazing and heartwarming to see just how much some people give to enrich their community.

A joyous occasion tinged with sadness.
