THE BIG DAY

Today was the day mum moved to a care home in Aberdeen. A big decision for us all and one which has weighed heavily on me.

As she sat on her new bed tonight, drinking coffee from her new mug, made in her new kettle, I couldn't help but experience a heady cocktail of emotion.

I was too tired for words as we unpacked, but the card we bought put it perfectly:
