Experiments in colour

"Dad, if I mix my blue slushy and my red slushy, what colour will I get? Will it be green?"

"Well, why don't you try it and find out?"

"Mix, mix, mix, mix ... purple!"

"That's right - blue and red make purple, Dods."

"And if I mix them again, will that make green?"

With such experiments and a bit of relaxation, George made the most of having to wait inside at Hallhill while Matt and Andy were at rugby training. The bright sunlight in this belies the heavy showers and biting wind - and by the time we'd decided to try going outside to the play park, his brothers had come off the pitch, shivering and wet.

Cue hot chocolate all round.
